About

120ft Factory AB, branded 120ft, is a Stockholm-based robotics company founded in 2025 by Martin Willers, who previously co-founded the design firm People People and the modular electronics brand Transparent. It builds and operates shared microfactories that fit inside three 40-foot shipping containers, which prepare, assemble, inspect and pack products.

The company's model is that brands keep their existing component suppliers and pay per finished unit rather than buying robots or running their own production lines. Production runs start at 100 units. Its software converts product designs, parts lists and quality requirements into digital manufacturing instructions, simulates each job before physical assembly, and runs orchestration software that coordinates robots, tooling and quality checks, including handling failed tasks. Instructions and data from production runs are retained so tasks can be reused. Initial pilots target rigid parts under 5 kg joined by screws or press-fits, with cables, flexible materials and gluing planned for later. The system has been demonstrated on a lamp assembly line.

The company targets design-led consumer brands such as makers of small appliances and consumer electronics. It emerged from stealth in October 2026 with a €576,000 angel round from 22 investors, which it said would support its move to commercial production and further development of its software and factory infrastructure. Over the longer term it plans to expand into repair, upgrades and remanufacturing. Its pilot line is located in a former Ford factory in Frihamnen, Stockholm.
