About
1KOMMA5° is a Hamburg-based home electrification company that sells and installs residential solar systems, battery storage, heat pumps, air conditioning and EV chargers, typically through regional master craftsmen partners. Its Heartbeat AI platform connects these assets, controls them and trades their flexibility on the electricity market in real time, forming a virtual power plant for households. Dynamic Pulse is the company's dynamic electricity tariff, which passes spot-market prices on to customers.
The company was founded in 2021 by Philipp Schröder, Micha Grüber, Jannik Schall and Philip Liesenfeld. It has acquired several installers, including Arkana Energy, Solaray Energy, ZEWO Energy and Zonduurzaam. It operates in several European markets and in Australia, and reports more than 300,000 energy systems installed and over 100,000 satisfied customers. Revenue for 2024 was reported at about €520M, and in September 2026 the company said organic revenue grew 30 percent in the first nine months of 2026, with a full-year revenue target of around $750M.
Heartbeat AI was opened in November 2025 to existing PV systems, heat pumps, batteries and electric cars in Germany, and in 2026 it was offered to municipal utilities. Partners include SolarEdge, Daikin, Qvantum, Ampeers Energy and Riksbyggen, and the company set up a public-sector financing alliance with NORD/LB and Deutsche Bank. It raised a €150M pre-IPO round in December 2024, extended in July 2025, and a round of about €70M in October 2026 at a pre-money valuation of $1.35B, led by b2venture with Marunouchi Innovation Partners joining. US IPO plans were shelved in 2025, and the company is considering entry into the United States.
