About
Alpha Autonomy is a Greek deep-tech company developing AI-powered embodied intelligence software that enables robotic platforms — starting with drones — to perceive, navigate, and act autonomously in GPS-denied, confined, contested, and highly dynamic environments. Spun out of Vertliner, a field robotics venture established in 2021, the company rebranded as Alpha Autonomy in 2025 to reflect its expanded mission and dual-use ambitions.
The company's flagship product, AlphaMind.AI, is a hardware-agnostic autonomy stack combining LiDAR-based navigation, stereoscopic computer vision, and on-board edge AI for real-time situational awareness, obstacle avoidance, and mission planning. The platform is designed for UAV swarms capable of ISR missions in GPS-denied or electromagnetically contested environments, and is certified under ISO 56001 (Innovation Management) and ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management).
Alpha Autonomy serves both industrial and defence customers across sectors including infrastructure inspection, mining, marine, energy, agriculture, and military operations. The company is headquartered at the National Centre of Scientific Research 'Demokritos' campus in Agia Paraskevi, Athens.
In late 2025, Alpha Autonomy was selected among 150 companies (from 3,680+ applicants) for the NATO DIANA 2026 Acceleration Programme, receiving a €100,000 non-dilutive grant and access to NATO's global test centre network. The company has also been identified by Greece's Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation (ELKAK) as a candidate for the NATO DIANA Rapid Adoption Service, targeting prototype development for the Hellenic Armed Forces.
