About

Augur Initiative Ltd (brand Augur) is a London-based resilience technology company founded in 2024 by Harry Mead, Imran Lone and Stefan Kopieczek. Its platform, which it calls a perception engine, connects to existing CCTV, IoT and spatial sensors at transport hubs, stadiums, critical national infrastructure, mining and energy sites and retail venues to detect abnormal behaviour, track movement across multiple cameras, reconstruct incidents and surface operational and revenue analytics.

Augur positions its approach as privacy-by-design: it says it does not use facial recognition, anonymises data by default and is built to comply with GDPR and the EU AI Act. The company targets grey-zone threats such as sabotage of critical infrastructure and public-space security.

In March 2026 Augur announced a $15M seed round led by Plural, with participation from First Kind, SNR, Flix, Tiny VC and Foxglove Ventures. It said its customers include large venue operators and infrastructure owners but has not named them, and the team was reported at around 30 people in London.
