About
Auterion is a Swiss-American defense technology company that builds the leading software platform for autonomous systems. Founded in 2017 by Lorenz Meier (creator of Pixhawk, PX4, and MAVLink) and Kevin Sartori as an ETH Zurich spin-off, the company commercializes open-source drone operating technology into an enterprise and defense-grade platform called AuterionOS. Its product suite includes the Skynode autopilot-compute unit, the Nemyx swarm coordination engine, Mission Control fleet management software, and Auterion Suite cloud analytics.
Auterion's core technology enables heterogeneous fleets of drones from multiple manufacturers to operate as a single AI-coordinated combat force. Its Nemyx platform powers coordinated drone swarms capable of simultaneous multi-target engagement, while the Long Range One Way Attack capability delivers precision strike effects at distances up to 1,000 miles. The company is recognized by the U.S. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) as the standard for its future drone program, and its software is combat-proven in Ukraine where it has powered tens of thousands of strike missions.
Customers include the U.S. and Ukrainian governments, the Netherlands, the UK, and Taiwan. Strategic partnerships include Rheinmetall (which acquired a significant equity stake in November 2025), Skyfall (50,000 Shrike FPV drones for Ukraine), and the Airlogix German-Ukrainian joint venture for NATO-scale production. The company became profitable in 2025 with annual revenue of approximately €100 million (~$115M USD) and has raised over $160 million in total funding, achieving a valuation of north of $600 million at its Series B.
