AVES Reality GmbH is a deep-tech company based in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, that develops AI models and computer graphics algorithms to automatically generate simulation-ready, semantically enriched 3D digital twin worlds from satellite and aerial imagery. Its software platform, AVES Launcher, produces georeferenced terrain, HD road maps in the ASAM OpenDRIVE format, and 3D meshes of landscapes, vegetation, buildings, roads and waterbodies, with exports to real-time engines such as Unreal Engine 5.

The company was founded in 2022 by Florian Albert, Severin Knebel and Matthias Heger, building on an idea that emerged in 2019 when Knebel, then an intern at a car manufacturer, identified the lack of realistic, scalable virtual environments as a bottleneck for training and testing autonomous systems. Its products target automotive R&D, smart city planning and, in development, defense simulation and training. The company has reported collaboration with AVL on virtual verification and validation for ADAS and autonomous driving, and a user story with a German automotive manufacturer in antenna and over-the-air simulation. It also supports the NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint for Smart City AI and demonstrated urban climate simulation with infrared.city.

AVES Reality is a member of ASAM e.V. and joined the Software République Startup Incubator in 2024. It closed a pre-seed round in 2024 and an oversubscribed €2.7M seed round in January 2026 led by Matterwave Ventures. The company has offices in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Munich and reported around 12 employees in early 2026.
