Blackdot Solutions is a Cambridge-based UK technology company that develops Videris, an advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) SaaS platform designed to help investigators in the public and private sectors gather, analyse and visualise data from public and proprietary sources. The platform supports the full investigation lifecycle — from automated data collection and network visualisation through to audit-ready reporting — enabling organisations to combat financial crime, serious and organised crime, fraud, money laundering and insider threats.

Videris serves a broad client base including major international banks (such as Danske Bank), government agencies, law enforcement bodies, financial intelligence units (including Jersey FIU and Gibraltar FIU), and large corporates. Its core differentiators include human-in-the-loop AI, secure browsing environments, inbuilt audit trails, and customisable playbooks that automate high-volume screening as well as complex multi-source investigations. In September 2025, Blackdot launched Videris Automate, an agentic AI capability that further automates investigation workflows at scale.

Founded in 2011 by Shaun O'Mahony, the company has grown to approximately 45–50 employees and has attracted backing from Maven Capital Partners and ScaleUp Group. Blackdot has been listed in the RegTech100 for both 2024 and 2025, and is positioned within the rapidly growing OSINT market projected to exceed $36 billion by 2030.
