About
C-Astral Aerospace is a Slovenian aerospace company founded in 2007 in Ajdovščina, Slovenia, specialising in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced fixed-wing small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Its product families — BRAMOR, ATLAS, and the newer SQA eVTOL — cover the full spectrum of ISR, tactical surveillance, precision surveying, and remote sensing applications, achieving record flight endurance of up to 3.5 hours and command-and-control ranges of up to 40 km. The company is vertically integrated, developing its own avionics, composite airframes, proprietary secure mesh datalinks (including MANET/MIMO configurations), and ground control software in-house.
C-Astral's customer base spans more than 70 countries across six continents, including over 10 sovereign government entities and 200+ commercial and scientific operators, accumulating more than 120,000 hours of operations for missions such as border protection, force protection, tactical ISR, search and rescue, and infrastructure monitoring. Its Bramor C4EYE (Belin) system has been used by Ukrainian forces and is jointly procured by Slovenia and Montenegro. C-Astral systems have been evaluated by US SOCOM and the company has participated in SESAR ATM research consortia and European UAS swarming R&D initiatives.
In 2024, the SQA eVTOL won the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best design award — one of the world's highest design accolades. In May 2025, C-Astral unveiled the next-generation SQA2 eVTOL and a new stealth MWT (Medi Wing Tactical) delivery drone at AUVSI Xponential 2025 in collaboration with drone software leader Auterion. The company employs a team of approximately 30 engineers and experts and is backed by investors including Japan-based Terra Drone and Slovenian aviation pioneer Ivo Boscarol.
