About
Causaly is a London-based enterprise AI platform purpose-built for life sciences research and development. Its core technology combines a high-precision biomedical knowledge graph—connecting over 500 million facts and 70 million directional relationships—with specialized agentic AI that can autonomously plan, search, reason, and synthesize evidence across both external biomedical literature and customers' internal proprietary data.
The platform's flagship products include Agentic Research (multi-agent workflows for drug discovery tasks), Bio Graph (cause-and-effect biological pathway visualization), Pipeline Graph (competitive intelligence layered with scientific data), and an Enterprise Data Fabric for secure integration of internal documents and APIs. Use cases span target identification and prioritization, biomarker discovery, disease pathophysiology mapping, indication expansion, and regulatory evidence compilation.
Causaly serves 12 of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, including Takeda, Eisai, Novartis, and ProQR, and has built partnerships with Microsoft, Sage, and Syneos Health. The company was co-founded in 2018 by computer scientists Yiannis Kiachopoulos and Artur Saudabayev after meeting at Singularity University's Future Studies program, and has grown to over 130 employees with offices in London, New York, and Greece.
The company has raised $93 million in total funding, including a $60 million Series B in July 2023 led by ICONIQ Growth, with backing from Index Ventures, Marathon Venture Capital, EBRD, Pentech Ventures, and Visionaries Club, as well as strategic angels including former Johnson & Johnson Chairman and CEO Alex Gorsky and Datadog CEO Olivier Pomel.
