About
CellVoyant Technologies Limited is an AI-first biotechnology company based in Bristol, England, developing predictive cell analytics and process optimisation for cell-based therapeutics. It was founded in 2021 as a spin-out from the University of Bristol, building on research from the Carazo Salas lab, with a mission to make cell development predictive rather than reactive.
Its core product is FateView, a cloud-based platform that uses label-free live-cell imaging and AI to predict current and future cell states, critical quality attributes and likely outcomes from uploaded cell images. FateView was publicly launched in September 2025 with a free trial and offers an API for high-volume users. FateDrive is an AI-driven optimisation service that simulates process variations in silico to prioritise process conditions for experimental and manufacturing decisions. The two products are designed to work together for closed-loop, adaptive process control. Outcomes cited across internal studies and partner workflows include up to 60% fewer failed experiments, up to 8x higher yield and up to 40% less waste.
CellVoyant has announced partnerships with Automata for closed-loop cell culture automation (January 2026), Pluristyx for iPSC technologies (May 2026), Axol Bioscience for cardiomyocyte manufacturing imaging assays (June 2026) and HyQure for biologics testing and quality control (July 2026). It was named a 2024 WIRED Trailblazer and the Innovation Incubator Winner at the 2025 AI Drug Discovery & Development Summit. Target applications include stem cell therapy development and CAR-T manufacturing quality analytics. In January 2024 the company raised a £7.6M seed round led by Octopus Ventures.
