About

Circuit Mind is a London-based company that develops an electronics design intelligence platform for engineering teams. It was founded in 2018 by Tomide Adesanmi, an electronic systems engineer who previously built augmented reality displays for pilots at BAE Systems, and Basilio Gentile, an electrical engineer with a PhD from ETH Zurich in mathematical algorithms for complex systems.

The platform combines AI agents with physics-based, deterministic algorithms and a proprietary database of electronic component digital twins. Its first application, ACE (Automated Circuit Engineering), turns a block diagram and engineering requirements into a schematic, bill of materials, power and derating analysis, interface control document and FMEA template, with options optimised for cost, size, power or supply chain availability. Its second application, AVE (Agentic Verification Engine), launched in October 2026, uses specialised AI agents to review existing schematics against manufacturer datasheets, component specifications and company design rules, flagging issues such as incorrect pin connections, voltage violations and missing supporting circuitry. The platform exports designs into tools including Altium, OrCAD, System Capture and Xpedition, can incorporate customers' approved component lists and libraries, and supports managed cloud, private cloud, on-premises and air-gapped deployments.

Customers include Emerson, Schneider Electric, Legrand, BAE Systems, Nextech and Design 1st. Los Alamos National Laboratory conducted a peer-reviewed evaluation of the platform, in which engineers completed a board in just over four hours compared with an estimated 60 to 80 hours by hand. In October 2026 the company announced $25 million in new financing, comprising an $18.5 million Series A led by Norwest and a previously undisclosed seed round led by Third Prime, bringing total funding to $33.4 million. The proceeds are earmarked for expanding the platform across the electronics design lifecycle, growing sales, engineering and customer success teams, and establishing a US headquarters.
