About
Dropla Tech ApS is a Danish-Ukrainian defence technology company headquartered in Odense, Denmark, with engineering and operations in Ukraine through DROPLA TEK LLC. It was founded in 2023 by four Ukrainian entrepreneurs: V'yacheslav Shvaydak, Dmytro Zarubin, Maksym Tkachenko and Illarion Karnaukh. The company developed out of the Odense Robotics StartUp Fund incubator, where it refined its GNSS-denied georeferencing technology.
The company's flagship product is Blue Eyes, an edge-AI system that detects landmines, unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices and ambush drones in real time from live video. It runs on ruggedized compute nodes mounted on drones or ground units, operates offline without GNSS or cloud connectivity, and generates terrain maps. Dropla Vision is a multi-sensor cartographic platform that fuses optical, multispectral, thermal and magnetometric data for AI-driven explosive ordnance detection, with automated reporting and autonomous mission planning. The company also produces modular unmanned ground vehicles for logistics, evacuation and reconnaissance, and Seer Complex, a dual-platform autonomous system that pairs a detection vehicle with a neutralization vehicle deploying four specialized UGVs. The Blue Eyes system is reported to be codified in the NATO Stock System and used by Ukrainian Defence Forces, and the company reports more than 5,000 confirmed detections in Ukraine.
Dropla's models were trained on what the company describes as Europe's most comprehensive landmine detection dataset, collected during roughly two years of testing in Ukraine, supported by a test range with more than 170 confirmed explosive targets. The company cites detection precision under 15cm within the Front Edge of Battle Area. Its customers and partners include government agencies and defence forces; in April 2025 it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine to strengthen mine-action operators, and in 2026 the Danish Defence Drone Centre purchased nine Dropla 4x4 UGVs for drone operator training. In June 2026 the company agreed with Frontline Robotics to integrate RWS Buria with the LOGIST UGV and jointly develop AI threat detection capabilities.
Dropla raised €2.4 million in a pre-seed round in August 2025 from Maj Invest, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) and Final Frontier. In July 2026 MITS Capital, a Kyiv- and New York-based defence investment group, invested an undisclosed amount and admitted Dropla into its accelerator program. The company aims to scale production capacity, including its cross-border manufacturing between Denmark and Ukraine, and to expand into NATO procurement markets.
