About

Firecell is a Nice-based French deeptech company founded in 2021 that develops purpose-built private 5G connectivity for industrial environments. Its turnkey platform integrates a 5G core network, programmable Open RAN, AI-driven network intelligence, and a Network Management System (NMS) into a hardware-agnostic, fully on-premise, European-sovereign solution. The company targets enterprise customers in manufacturing, logistics, ports, airports, mines, energy, and defense — delivering sub-20ms latency, 99.99% uptime, and seamless mobility for fleets of AGVs, AMRs, drones, robotic arms, connected workers, and IoT sensors.

Firecell's product portfolio includes the Pegasus Network (scalable indoor/outdoor private 5G for sites over 10,000 m²), the Pegasus Pop-Up (rapid-deploy temporary network), and the Orion Labkit (open-source 5G R&D platform). The company serves over 75 customers globally, including Airbus, Thales, SNCF, ID Logistics, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Army, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Firecell is also a member of the French Tech 2030 initiative.

In February 2026, Firecell merged with Belgian Open RAN specialist Accelleran, creating a full-stack, pan-European private 5G powerhouse backed by a €7.9 million investment round. The combined entity retains the Firecell name and brand, with teams across France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Poland. The merged platform is also actively targeting defense use cases, including counter-UAS, connected defense factories, and tactical field robotics deployments, as showcased at Eurosatory 2026.
