About

Fortaegis Technologies is an Amsterdam-based company founded in 2023 that develops the Fortaegis Silicon Platform, a full-stack Secure Compute architecture spanning hardware, firmware, cryptography and software. The platform derives cryptographic keys from the physical variations each silicon chip acquires during manufacturing, so keys are generated rather than stored, and the architecture is designed to be quantum-safe. It is offered in server rack mounted, ruggedized edge, compact edge and embedded silicon form factors, and each deployed system acts as a node within an integrated software platform that manages identity, trust, policy, security and compute.

The company's targeted markets include AI infrastructure and data centres, defence and autonomous systems such as drone fleets, telecommunications, advanced manufacturing, critical infrastructure and automotive. Its current commercial focus is field-programmable gate array (FPGA) products, with a roadmap toward application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). The company works with more than 25 enterprises and governments across the United States, Europe, Singapore and Japan. Its partner TNO has validated the architecture against hacking attempts, and connection speeds more than 200 times faster than conventional methods were recorded in internal and customer testing.

In September 2026 Fortaegis closed an oversubscribed $50 million Series A led by Singapore-based Serendipity Capital, with participation from TEL Venture Capital, TNO, Prodrive Technologies, ASML and others. The funds are earmarked for commercial production, expanded FPGA manufacturing, ASIC development and growth of the engineering and commercial teams, with commercial manufacturing targeted for 2027. The company had earlier raised a $10M seed led by Serendipity Capital in 2025 and signed a strategic partnership with Prodrive Technologies in 2026. Chief executive Boudewijn Wijnands leads the company, Pradeep Elamanchili is CTO, Ilyas Khan (founder of Quantinuum) is chairman, and Chris Miller is a U.S. board member.
