About
Henri Machines is a defence technology company developing unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) co-designed with Ukrainian military engineering units directly at the line of contact. The company offers four distinct platforms spanning logistics, strike, and reconnaissance missions — all field-tested in active combat conditions in Ukraine.
Henri Machines operates as a product company within the Bifrost Defence venture studio, a Copenhagen-based defence company builder founded in 2025. The Bifrost model sources real capability gaps from warfighters, develops products on a shared platform of military relationships, go-to-market, procurement and finance infrastructure, and fields them while the operational need is current. This means Henri's platforms were proven in the field before being scaled for broader NATO adoption.
The company's customer base includes Ukrainian armed forces engineering units, with the stated ambition to scale across European and NATO defence forces. Henri Machines is positioned as a dual-use, frontline-to-alliance capability: designed and validated under live combat conditions in Ukraine, then industrialised for European procurement. Its parent studio, Bifrost Defence, had approximately €2 million in initial funding and was building roughly eight ventures across UAVs, UGVs, USVs, mobile infrastructure, and aerostats as of mid-2026.
