About

HIGHCAT GmbH is a German drone manufacturer headquartered in Konstanz, building the industrial foundation for large-scale deployment of unmanned aerial systems across defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure. Founded in 2022/2023 by Dominik Faißt, Jan Hartmann, and David Lickert, the company designs and produces NDAA-compliant, modular multicopter systems — most notably the LYNX reconnaissance quad, which delivers up to 75-minute flight times, a 3-axis in-house sensor package with 10–15 km range, AES encryption, and swappable payloads including 10x optical zoom and thermal imaging.

HIGHCAT's core differentiator is deep vertical integration within Germany and Europe, spanning frame design, circuit boards, and battery systems, with scalable manufacturing modeled on automotive industry standards and supported by a partnership with a leading German automotive supplier. The company strictly avoids ITAR-restricted components to eliminate foreign export constraints and ensure operational sovereignty for European institutions and NATO allies.

The company has a strong operational track record: its multicopter platforms are among the most donated drone systems from Germany to Ukraine, and it is an active contracted supplier to public safety authorities and rescue teams across Europe. HIGHCAT has tested fiber-optic cable-guided drone systems on the frontline in Ukraine and presented at the KSK Symposium in Germany. In 2026, 130 HIGHCAT drones were scheduled for delivery to Ukraine for further testing. The company is also a named partner in Intelic BASE, the first pan-European drone procurement hub connecting manufacturers to Ministries of Defence.
