About
Humanoid (legally SKL Robotics Ltd) is a London-based AI and robotics company founded in 2024 by serial entrepreneur Artem Sokolov. The company builds the HMND 01 Alpha, an industrial-grade humanoid robot available in both wheeled and bipedal variants, designed to operate autonomously at human speed with 29 degrees of freedom and a 15 kg bimanual payload. Its proprietary KinetIQ AI framework — a four-layer AI stack built on NVIDIA compute — provides end-to-end fleet orchestration and enables robots to learn from real-world industrial tasks through reinforcement learning.
Humanoid targets manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and retail automation, selling access through a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model that bundles hardware with fleet management software, 24/7 support, over-the-air updates, and ongoing performance management. The company has completed proof-of-concept deployments with Schaeffler (bin picking), Siemens (tote handling in Erlangen at 60 totes/hour with >90% autonomous success), SAP and Martur Fompak (automotive logistics), and Bosch (intralogistics). In May 2026, it signed a binding agreement with Schaeffler to deploy a four-digit number of wheeled units across global facilities by 2032, with first deployments in Germany scheduled for December 2026.
In July 2026, Humanoid raised a $152 million Series A at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation, becoming Europe's first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn and bringing total disclosed funding to $270 million. The round was led by Prime Movers Lab with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital, and Aglaé Ventures — several of which are also customers and/or contract manufacturing partners. Bosch serves as Humanoid's contract manufacturing partner with capacity earmarked for up to 100,000 units over five years. The company employs over 250 people across offices in London, Boston, Vancouver, and San Diego, and reports 34,000 pre-orders representing a ~$2.4 billion pipeline.
