About

Iktos is a Paris-based company that applies generative AI, retrosynthesis and laboratory robotics to small-molecule drug discovery. Its Makya platform is a generative AI SaaS product for de novo molecular design, Spaya is an AI-driven retrosynthesis platform that identifies synthesis routes from commercially available starting materials, and Iktos Robotics is an automated lab that handles synthesis, purification, analysis and testing in a design-make-test-analyse loop. The company states that this integrated approach shortens discovery to under 24 months, from design to preclinical candidate.

Iktos sells software and services to pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms and academic institutions, and reports more than 60 collaborations since its 2016 founding. It also runs an in-house pipeline with programmes on MTHFD2 (inflammation and autoimmune diseases), the amylin receptor (obesity and metabolism) and SKP2-CKS1 (immuno-oncology), spanning hit discovery through to preclinical candidate.

The company raised a €15.5M Series A in March 2023, co-led by M Ventures and Debiopharm Innovation Fund with Omnes Capital, to launch Iktos Robotics. In 2024 it acquired Synsight. In 2025 it received a €2.5M grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator, with an option for a further €5M investment to advance its integrated AI and robotics platform.
