About

Imandra Inc. is an AI company that develops ImandraX, a cloud-scale automated reasoning engine, and a suite of tools marketed as Reasoning as a Service. Its technology combines formal verification with large language models so that AI-generated code and complex algorithms can be analyzed with mathematical precision. Its CodeLogician product, launched in March 2025, is a LangGraph agent that converts source code into mathematical models, generates tests and verifies program behavior. Imandra Universe, launched in June 2025, brings logical reasoning to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor through MCP servers.

The company was founded in 2014 by Denis Ignatovich and Grant Passmore, who met as students at the University of Texas at Austin, and it originated as a spinout from the University of Edinburgh. Its headquarters are in Austin, Texas, with an office in London. Its early work focused on financial services, where clients include major investment banks and trading venues, and it won the UBS Future of Finance Challenge in 2015. The company later expanded into safety-critical areas including autonomous vehicles, robotics and defense, and it received a US Navy SBIR Phase I award in 2020 to analyze machine learning algorithms.

Commercial activity includes a 2020 exclusive partnership with Itiviti for client onboarding, the FIX Wizard AI assistant launched in 2024, and a 2026 agreement with BLOX Markets for its Openpool equities venue. Its Automated Reasoning Framework for Capital Markets became available on the Microsoft Marketplace in 2026. Funding has included seed rounds led by AlbionVC, IQ Capital, LiveOak Venture Partners and Anthemis Group, and a reported $9M convertible note in April 2024.
