About

KP Labs is a Polish New Space company based in Gliwice that develops hardware, software and AI algorithms for on-board data processing on satellites. Founded in 2016 by a group of engineers and scientists from the Silesian University of Technology, the company offers the Leopard, Lion and Antelope data processing units, which are designed for nano, micro and small satellites, along with AI algorithms for Earth observation and signal processing. Its Smart Mission Lab provides remote access to its processing units so customers can test algorithms before purchasing hardware.

The company's systems have flown on several missions, including its own Intuition-1 Earth observation satellite, which operated in orbit from 2023 to 2026, the LeopardISS unit installed on the International Space Station as part of Poland's IGNIS mission, and the GLOWS instrument for NASA's IMAP mission. KP Labs also took part in the ESA M-Argo mission and was selected for the CAMILA national Earth observation mission led by Creotech Instruments. It has signed collaboration agreements with companies including Scanway, Simera Sense, Parsimoni, Frontgrade Gaisler, Dragonfly Aerospace and NaviGate.

KP Labs works with customers including the European Space Agency, NASA, Airbus Defence and Space, OHB Hellas and Thales Alenia Space. It has delivered more than 50 research and development projects and holds the status of an R&D Centre granted by the Polish Ministry. Its R&D facility in Gliwice includes cleanrooms, thermal vacuum chambers and climatic chambers. The company reported revenue of about PLN 18 million in 2025.

In October 2026 KP Labs received PLN 19.4 million (about EUR 4.4 million) in growth equity from Momentum Capital Partners, which took a minority stake. The funds are earmarked for research and development, serial hardware production, a broader product range and international sales, including expansion into the United States and Asia.
