About

LabGenius Therapeutics is a London-based drug discovery company pioneering the use of machine learning to discover next-generation therapeutic antibodies. It was founded in 2012 by James Field, a protein engineer who established the company during his PhD at Imperial College London.

The company's core technology is EVA, a highly automated, closed-loop discovery engine that combines artificial intelligence (including multi-objective Bayesian optimisation), robotic automation and synthetic biology to identify and co-optimise complex therapeutic antibodies across multiple properties. The platform is described as modality and format-agnostic.

LabGenius's internal pipeline focuses on selectivity-enhanced multispecific antibodies for the treatment of solid tumours, aiming for on/off killing selectivity to reduce off-tumour toxicity. EVA was used to help Sanofi identify new candidates for inflammatory diseases under a 2021 deal, and in June 2026 the company announced a multi-year research collaboration, option and licensing agreement with LG Chem.

In May 2024 LabGenius closed a £35M Series B led by M Ventures, bringing its total disclosed funding to £58M. The company said the proceeds would fund platform development and advance its pipeline towards the clinic.
