About
Mayday.ai GmbH is a Darmstadt-based AI platform delivering real-time, full-lifecycle event intelligence for natural and man-made disasters. Its proprietary Data Agnostic AI Fusion Engine ingests data from over 300 GEO and LEO satellites, 35,000+ AI-enabled cameras, SAR/LiDAR sensors, and multilingual social media sentiment feeds to detect events—such as wildfires, floods, and earthquakes—often faster than traditional emergency channels. The platform provides early warning, a common operating picture, and two-way communication capabilities to governments, first responders, humanitarian organizations, and enterprises globally.
Mayday.ai serves four core customer segments: policy makers and first responders, enterprises (including industrial site monitoring and supply-chain risk), the (re-)insurance industry (with dynamic risk modeling, damage assessment, and streamlined claims processing), and environmental monitoring applications. Customers include the Chilean Air Force and drone operator Overwatch Aero, which uses Mayday's rapid fire-detection service in the U.S. in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service. The platform is built on Esri geospatial infrastructure and integrates partner high-resolution imagery from Satellogic and Airbus.
The company's innovations have been recognized and supported by the European Space Agency (ESA InCubed programme), the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), NOAA, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. Mayday.ai has participated as a finalist in the XPRIZE Wildfire Space-Based Detection & Intelligence competition and won first place in the 2024 EIT Community AI Challenge. As of mid-2026 the company is advancing Agentic AI protocol work for space-enabled intelligent systems in partnership with SES, CGI, and Amartus.
