About

Morpheus Space is a leading innovator in in-space mobility, designing and manufacturing advanced FEEP (Field Emission Electric Propulsion) electric propulsion systems for small satellites and the broader New Space industry. Founded in 2018 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Dresden, the company's core product — the GO-2 — is a modular, ~1U propulsion unit containing 40 independently controlled thrusters with a solid metallic propellant, requiring no moving parts, chemicals, or pressurization. It supports spacecraft from 6U up to 250 kg across all mission phases: constellation deployment, station-keeping, collision avoidance, orbit raising, and deorbiting.

The GO-2 system is built on heritage technology with core FEEP technology in orbit since 2018 and the world's first nanosatellite collision avoidance maneuver to its credit. In July 2025, the company successfully completed an in-orbit demonstration of GO-2 aboard D-Orbit's ION Satellite Carrier, validating communication, ignition, individual thruster control, and thrust profile generation in LEO. Morpheus is now targeting production of 100 GO-2 units annually at its Reloaded mass-production facility in Dresden.

The company serves commercial, government, and defense satellite operators globally, with product development and production headquartered in Dresden, Germany, and a U.S. office in El Segundo, California. After joining the first-ever Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator in Los Angeles in 2019, Morpheus raised a Seed round in 2020 from a high-profile group including Vsquared Ventures, Lavrock Ventures, Airbus Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Pallas Ventures, and Techstars. A $28M Series A followed in September 2022 led by Alpine Space Ventures, and a $15M Series A+ was secured in February 2026 from Alpine Space Ventures, the European Investment Fund, and existing backers, bringing total disclosed funding to approximately $43M+.
