About
Nabla is a Paris- and New York-based clinical AI company founded in 2018 by Alexandre Lebrun, Delphine Groll and Martin Raison. Lebrun and Raison previously worked on AI at Facebook AI Research after Lebrun's earlier startup Wit.ai was acquired by Facebook. The company develops an ambient AI assistant that captures patient-clinician conversations and generates structured clinical notes, together with dictation, E/M and ICD-10 coding suggestions, and EHR command capabilities. Its products are embedded in electronic health records including Epic and athenahealth, and Nabla Connect is a plug-and-play module that lets EHR vendors embed its ambient AI.
Nabla's platform is deployed in more than 130 healthcare organizations and used by more than 85,000 clinicians, spanning academic medical centers, safety-net hospitals, community health centers and national provider groups. Customers include CVS Health, Denver Health and Carle Health. A randomized clinical trial published in NEJM AI in December 2025 compared Nabla with Microsoft DAX in outpatient practice. The company holds HIPAA, SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and GDPR attestations.
Nabla raised a $70 million Series C in June 2025 led by HV Capital, bringing total funding to $120 million. The company is expanding from documentation toward an agentic clinical AI platform covering coding, EHR actions, and inpatient and nursing workflows. In July 2026 Brian Manning was appointed chief executive officer, with Alexandre Lebrun moving to executive chairman and chief AI officer.
