About
Nautrik AB is a Swedish defence technology company based in Lidingö, Stockholm, that develops and produces unmanned surface vessels (USVs) for military, security and professional civilian applications. Its R4 USV platform is designed for near-shore missions including persistent ISR and maritime awareness, force protection of ports and critical installations, crewless logistics support in constrained waters, coordinated multi-vessel distributed operations, and counter-UAS missions.
The company's core technology is its mission-autonomy software and command layer, which enables vessels to execute assigned tasks without continuous manual control. The system maintains operations in GPS-denied and communications-degraded environments using onboard sensors and decision-making algorithms. Nautrik's collaborative autonomy platform allows a single operator to task and supervise multiple autonomous units simultaneously through task orchestration and a shared common operating picture.
Founded by people with hands-on maritime and military experience, Nautrik develops its systems in close cooperation with end users and tests them in Nordic and international maritime environments including NATO exercises such as REPMUS and AURORA. The company has a strategic manufacturing partnership with Nimbus Group for production and assembly of its USVs, and partners with Airolit on unmanned air-sea systems. It is a member of the Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association (SOFF) and part of the EUDIS Business Accelerator. In October 2026 former Swedish Supreme Commander Micael Bydén joined the company, and it closed a SEK 100 million Series A.
