Orca AI is a maritime technology company founded in 2018 by Israeli Navy veterans Yarden Gross and Dor Raviv. The company develops an AI- and computer-vision-based operations platform that enhances the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of commercial shipping. Its core products include SeaPod, an automated lookout system for the bridge that detects and prioritises navigational targets even in near-zero visibility; FleetView, a shore-based dashboard giving fleet operators real-time insight into vessel performance and risk; and Co-Captain, launched in November 2025, which connects Orca-equipped vessels into a live information-sharing network described as the "Waze of the Seas." The platform also supports perception capabilities for fully autonomous vessels.

Orca AI's technology has been validated in an independent live sea trial conducted by Lloyd's Register, achieving 98.6% target detection accuracy. The company powered the world's first autonomous commercial voyage in congested waters in partnership with NYK and the Nippon Foundation. As of early 2026, more than 1,200 vessels are deployed or booked on the platform, with customers including MSC, Maersk, Seaspan, Maran Tankers, SFL Corporation, Ionic Shipping, Gram Car Carriers, and Anglo-Eastern (750+ managed vessels). In 2025, Orca AI helped crews reduce significant safety events by 58% and save over $82,000 per vessel per year in fuel.

The company is headquartered in London with offices in Tel Aviv, Athens, and Singapore. Beyond commercial shipping, Orca AI is actively expanding into naval, government, and maritime security/defense markets. In April 2026, it signed an MOU with Samsung Heavy Industries to jointly develop and deploy autonomous vessel technologies across both newbuild and retrofit fleets. Total funding raised stands at $111 million across four rounds.
