About
Orqa is a Croatian developer and manufacturer of first-person-view (FPV) drones, video transmission systems, flight controllers, radios, motors, and related electronics, headquartered in Osijek, Croatia. Founded in late 2018 by Srdjan Kovacevic, Ivan Jelušić, and Vlatko Matijevic, the company built its reputation with the FPV.One video goggles before pivoting aggressively into defense and enterprise unmanned systems. Orqa emphasises full vertical integration and a fully sovereign, non-Chinese supply chain, with all critical components designed and produced in-house at its Osijek facility, which has capacity for up to 280,000 NDAA-compliant drones per year.
The company's defense portfolio includes the MRM1-5 training drone, the EW-resilient MRM2-10 tactical FPV, and the newly unveiled MRM2-10AI — a hybrid fiber-optic/radio drone featuring onboard AI processing and image-based navigation for GPS-denied, electronically contested environments. Orqa supplies militaries in Croatia, Ukraine, and the United States, and has signed teaming agreements with Red River Army Depot and launched Orqa US LLC (with By Light Professional IT Services) to produce Blue UAS-compliant drones out of a facility in Port Orange, Florida.
Orqa operates a Global Manufacturing Partnership Program targeting one million drones per year, with production hubs being established in the US, Canada, Qatar, and Ukraine. Recent milestones include a €10M Croatian Army contract, selection as FPV drone supplier for the U.S. Army's 2nd Infantry Division, and a $150M CAD five-year partnership with Canada's Remote Robotic Systems. Total disclosed funding stands at approximately €20.4M across two institutional rounds.
