About
Perf Drone Systems is a Polish defence-tech startup founded in March 2025, developing secure, long-range radio communication modules for military and dual-use UAVs. Its core product line centres on proprietary adaptive frequency-hopping technology combined with AES-256 encryption and dual-channel redundant transmission, enabling reliable command, control, and telemetry links in heavily contested electromagnetic environments.
The company ships DataLink v5.6, a low-bitrate RC and telemetry module proven over 51 km typical range (up to 150 km line-of-sight) and positioned as a drop-in replacement for existing drone comms systems. In development are EthLink v1.0 — a 50 Mbps jamming-resistant Ethernet bridge for video and IP payloads up to 60 km — and FPVLink v1.0, an integrated 1080p/50 fps FPV video stack built on the EthLink backbone. All hardware is designed and manufactured entirely in Poland with an EU-sovereign supply chain and is NDAA-compliant.
Perf Drone Systems has been validated by several leading defence programmes: its DataLink component was listed on the US DIU Blue UAS Framework, the company participated in DIU's Project G.I. prize challenge, and it was selected as one of 150 companies globally for the NATO DIANA 2026 Cohort under the Contested Electromagnetic Environments challenge area, receiving a €100,000 non-dilutive Phase 1 grant. The founders — Karol Pieniący (CEO) and Kacper Oreszczuk (RF/Electronics Engineer) — met through the Nomagic Warsaw MIMotaurs robotics team and share backgrounds in computer science, physics, and RF engineering from the University of Warsaw.
