About

PolyAI builds dialog agents, primarily voice AI agents, that handle complex customer service conversations for large enterprises. Its Agentic Dialog Platform includes Dialog Studio and Wren for designing, building, testing and optimizing agents, Dialog-RSN-1 (an audio-native model for turn-taking and response, launched July 2026), Dialog-RAVEN-3.5 for text-based and multilingual chat, and a Model API and Agent Development Kit for developers. The company says its models are trained on hundreds of millions of real business interactions and supports 75 languages.

The company was spun out of the University of Cambridge and founded in 2017 by researchers from Cambridge's Dialog Systems Group, including CEO Nikola Mrkšić, a former early engineer at VocalIQ, which Apple acquired. Customers include Marriott, Caesars Entertainment, PG&E, UniCredit, FedEx, Foot Locker, Hilton, Fogo de Chão and Hello Sugar across hospitality, financial services, healthcare, insurance, energy, retail and restaurants. PolyAI reports 100+ enterprise customers, more than 2,000 live deployments, 100M+ calls a year, and 99.994% uptime over the trailing twelve months.

PolyAI raised an $86M Series D in December 2025, co-led by Georgian, Hedosophia and Khosla Ventures, and says it has surpassed $200M in total funding. Forbes reported a $750M valuation for that round. Recent milestones include a direct Epic integration for healthcare (August 2026), a Kong partnership for API infrastructure (April 2026), a Gordon Ramsay brand campaign (February 2026) and a Stevie Award for Best Customer Service Solution (2026), along with a new CFO, Sunil Shah, in October 2026.
