About
Qblox B.V. is a Delft-based company that develops scalable quantum control electronics and software for quantum computers and research laboratories. It was founded in 2018 as a spin-off of QuTech at TU Delft by Niels Bultink and Jules van Oven. Its flagship Cluster control stack combines qubit control and readout modules such as the QCM, QRM, QRC, QTM and QSM, the Q1 Sequence Processor, the proprietary SYNQ synchronization protocol and the LINQ feedback network, alongside the Qblox Scheduler software. The company also supports the open-source QICK FPGA platform. Its hardware targets superconducting qubits, spin qubits and color-center platforms.
The company serves academic laboratories, quantum computer builders and industrial customers, and it has reported more than 200 customers in 25 countries. Its excellence center partners include Chalmers University of Technology and the Institut quantique at Université de Sherbrooke. Technology collaborations include NVIDIA, with integration of NVQLink and CUDA-Q for real-time hybrid feedback, Riverlane for real-time quantum error correction, Bluefors for spin qubit systems, Rigetti and QphoX for optical readout research, and Qilimanjaro, Qruise and QuantWare on hybrid and modular quantum systems. In 2025 it opened a North American headquarters in Boston, and in 2026 it introduced control systems manufactured in the United States. In 2025 the U.S. Department of Energy announced a partnership with Fermilab and Qblox to manufacture and commercialize the QICK platform.
Qblox raised a $26M Series A round in June 2024, led by Quantonation and the Invest-NL Deep Tech fund, with participation from QDNL participations, the European Innovation Council and Ground State Ventures. Before that round it was funded through grants from the European Innovation Council and a convertible instrument, and its growth was described as largely revenue-funded. The company received the Deloitte Fast 50 Deep Tech Award in 2024 and the Quantum Internet Alliance Innovation Award in 2024 for its Qubit Time Tagging Module, and it was an honoree of the CES 2021 Innovation Award for its Cluster series.
