About
Quanscient is a Tampere, Finland-based provider of cloud-native multiphysics simulation software. Its flagship platform, Quanscient Allsolve, runs natively coupled multiphysics simulations on scalable cloud compute. A Python SDK provides programmatic control of the full workflow, and an agentic AI layer lets LLM agents set up and run simulations from natural-language prompts. The MultiphysicsAI module trains physics-aware surrogate models on simulation data, enabling predictions in milliseconds and exploration of large design spaces. The company was founded in September 2021 by Juha Riippi, Alexandre Halbach, Asser Lähdemäki and Valtteri Lahtinen, with Andrew Tweedie later joining as co-founder. Its roots trace to Sparselizard, an open-source C++ finite element library created by Halbach, and the first version of Allsolve launched in late 2022.
The platform targets engineering R&D in medical devices such as ultrasound and PMUT/CMUT transducers, in consumer electronics such as MEMS, RF and audio components, in automotive sensors such as LiDAR and inertial sensors, and in new space applications such as RF, satcom and attitude control. Users and customers include Infineon, Albis Electronics, GSS Audio, skyTran, kiutra, UKAEA, Proxima Fusion and Tampere University. In February 2025 Quanscient acquired Kogsys to add wave propagation technology to its platform.
Quanscient Quantum Labs focuses on quantum algorithms for computational fluid dynamics, notably the quantum lattice Boltzmann method. In 2025 the company ran a 3D advection-diffusion simulation on an IQM superconducting quantum chip, and in 2026 it announced with Haiqu a nonlinear CFD simulation on real quantum hardware. Its partners include IQM, Airbus, Oxford Ionics, AQT and Enlight Technology, which is its authorized distributor in Taiwan.
In May 2026 Quanscient raised a €10M Series A led by 55 North and B&C Group, bringing total funding to approximately €19M. The company has more than 40 employees and serves industrial customers across Europe, North America and Japan.
