About
Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI) is the first German-Ukrainian defence-industrial joint venture, established in December 2025 by Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics under Ukraine's government-backed "Build with Ukraine" initiative. Headquartered near Munich in Gilching, Bavaria, QFI operates Europe's first fully automated, industrial-scale drone production line for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, combining battlefield-proven Ukrainian technology with German engineering automation.
QFI's flagship product is the Linza 3.0, a multi-functional UAV platform refined through 100,000+ combat missions in Ukraine. Supporting strike, logistics, reconnaissance, and tactical demining missions, the Linza 3.0 features dual-band FHSS EW-resistant communications, AI-powered optical navigation for GNSS-denied environments, up to 60 minutes of flight time, and a 4 kg quick-change payload system. The joint venture also produces the Zoom reconnaissance drone. All systems manufactured at the German facility are delivered exclusively to Ukraine's Defence Forces in volumes defined by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
QFI was financed by the German Ministry of Defence and rapidly scaled from announcement to first batch delivery within months, delivering the inaugural shipment to Ukraine in April 2026. In October 2026, QFI secured a follow-on contract with Ukraine's National Guard for Linza and Zoom deliveries in 2027, with plans to increase production capacity fivefold. The factory employs approximately 50+ people — a majority Ukrainian — and targets 200 employees by 2027, with an annual production run rate of 10,000 drones.
