About
QuantWare is the dedicated industrial quantum processor company, founded in 2021 as a spinout from QuTech at TU Delft by Matthijs Rijlaarsdam and Alessandro Bruno. The company designs, fabricates, and integrates superconducting quantum processing units (QPUs) based on its proprietary VIO™ 3D scaling architecture — the only proven technology to break through the QPU scaling wall toward utility-scale quantum computing. QuantWare targets delivery of 10,000-qubit processors (VIO-40K™) by 2028 and is the world's largest commercial QPU supplier by volume.
QuantWare serves more than 50 customers across 20 countries and has powered the first quantum computers in over five major economies. Its product lines span superconducting QPUs (the A-Line, D-Line, and Master QEC families), peripheral components for readout chains, and foundry and packaging services for third-party qubit designs. The company operates under a Quantum Open Architecture paradigm, enabling any player in the ecosystem to leverage its processors.
The company is backed by a strong investor syndicate including Intel Capital, In-Q-Tel (IQT), ETF Partners, FORWARD.one, Invest-NL Deep Tech Fund, InnovationQuarter Capital, Ground State Ventures, and Graduate Ventures. Having raised $178 million in its Series B in May 2026 — the largest private round ever raised by a dedicated quantum processor company — QuantWare is scaling its KiloFab production facility in Delft to meet global demand for high-qubit-count quantum hardware.
