About
Quobly is a Grenoble-based quantum computing company founded in 2022 as a spin-off of CEA-Leti and CNRS. It was originally named Siquance and rebranded to Quobly (Quantum + Grenoble) in 2023. The company develops silicon spin-qubit quantum computers built on FD-SOI semiconductor processes and 300 mm wafers, so that qubits can be manufactured in established industrial fabs rather than with exotic materials.
Its first commercial product line is Alloy, whose first system, Alloy Pioneer, is designed for early adopters in high-performance computing and research environments. Alloy Forge, a silicon quantum development environment with hardware-aware emulation and pulse-level simulation, was made available through the qBraid cloud platform in September 2026. Quobly plans to deploy Alloy Pioneer through the cloud by the end of 2026 and within HPC infrastructures in 2027. In 2026 the company demonstrated two-qubit gates, single-qubit gates and qubit readout on a single QSOI quantum chip manufactured on an industrial 300 mm process.
Quobly works with semiconductor and industrial partners, including STMicroelectronics, which is collaborating on its quantum processor using 28nm FD-SOI technology, Soitec, which supplies custom 28Si FD-SOI wafers, and Air Liquide, whose venture arm ALIAD invested in 2026. Other collaborations include SEALSQ on post-quantum security, TNO and Orange Quantum Systems on industrial testing and manufacturing, Absolut System on cryogenic platforms, SiPearl on CPU-QPU integration, and Entropica Labs on fault-tolerant quantum software.
Quobly raised €19 million in a seed round in 2023 and a €115 million Series A in June 2026, led by Bpifrance, SEALSQ and STMicroelectronics, with participation from the EIC Fund, Blast, ALIAD and Innovacom. Existing shareholders include CEA, CNRS, Quantonation and Supernova Invest.
