Reflex Aerospace is a German satellite manufacturer founded in Munich in May 2021 by Walter Ballheimer, Alexander Genzel, and Christian Lindener. The company designs and manufactures agile, high-performance ESPA-class satellite platforms for LEO missions spanning optical Earth observation, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Space Domain Awareness (SDA), SIGINT, and secure satellite communications. Their proprietary NextSpace® methodology combines the customizability of traditional space programs with NewSpace speed, targeting contract-to-orbit delivery in 12 months.

Reflex operates two facilities in Germany: a Design Center in Berlin's Friedrichshain district handling prototyping, software, and electronics, and a MicroFactory in Munich purpose-built for manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing with ISO 7 clean room capacity for up to 12 satellites per year — with a planned expansion to 80+ per year. The company emphasizes ITAR-free components, strategic vertical integration, generative design, and additive manufacturing to shorten lead times and reduce supplier dependencies.

Reflex achieved flight heritage in January 2025 with the launch of its first commercial satellite, SIGI, aboard SpaceX's Transporter-12 mission. Customers include Media Broadcast Satellite (MBS), Marble Imaging (MIRI constellation), Navantia/European Defence Fund (OPTIMAS laser comms), LiveEO (Twinspector EO constellation), and U.S. firm Orbital (space data center constellation). Strategic partnerships include UMBRA (SAR for Europe), Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions, Sidus Space, and Arkadia Space.

The company has grown to approximately 130 employees across 29 nationalities and closed a record-breaking €50 million Series A in November 2025 — the largest Series A in European New Space history — to accelerate production capacity and sovereign ISR and communications satellite deployment across Europe.
