About

Riverlane is the global leader in quantum error correction (QEC), building the technology that enables quantum computers to reach utility-scale performance. Founded in 2016 by Dr Steve Brierley — a former Senior Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge with a decade in the intelligence community — the company spun out to solve one of quantum computing's most fundamental challenges: error correction at scale.

Riverlane's flagship product, Deltaflow, is a complete QEC stack combining proprietary ASIC decoder chips, hardware and software that continuously monitors quantum processor health, detects errors in real time, and implements corrections at ultra-low latency. Deltaflow works across all major qubit modalities — superconducting, neutral atom, and others — and is designed to scale from hundreds of operations to one million (MegaQuOp) and ultimately trillions of error-free quantum operations.

The company partners with over 60% of the world's quantum computer companies including Rigetti Computing, Alice & Bob, QuEra Computing, Infleqtion, IQM, Pasqal, Atlantic Quantum, and Oxford Quantum Circuits. It also collaborates with national laboratories such as Oak Ridge National Laboratory (US), the UK's National Quantum Computing Centre, and has received grants from DARPA and Horizon Europe. Riverlane's technology has been deployed in both lab and commercial data centre environments.

Backed by leading investors including Planet First Partners, ETF Partners, EDBI, Molten Ventures, Amadeus Capital Partners, Cambridge Innovation Capital, Altair, and the UK's National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), Riverlane has raised over $120 million in total funding. The company employs approximately 100 people and operates from its Cambridge, UK headquarters with offices in Boston, US and Delft, Netherlands.
