About
Roseman Labs is a Utrecht-based deep tech company founded in March 2020 by Toon Segers, Roderick Rodenburg and Niek Bouman. It develops an encrypted computing platform built on secure multi-party computation (MPC) that lets organizations link, combine and analyze sensitive data from several parties without any party seeing the raw records. The platform offers 50+ functions through a Python interface and no-code workflows, and is positioned as a way to generate Trusted Collective Intelligence while remaining GDPR, NIS2 and AMLR compliant. Its flagship product was earlier described as the Virtual Data Lake.
The company serves national security, anti-financial crime, healthcare and public sector customers. Its work includes a Central Bank of Ireland Innovation Sandbox project with Irish pillar banks on anti-fraud and anti-money laundering, a collaboration with the Dutch National Cyber Security Centre, and projects with UMC Utrecht and the City of Rotterdam, which won the 2025 and 2026 National Privacy Awards. In 2025 it partnered with spotixx on Qorum, a platform for secure collaboration in AML investigations.
Roseman Labs reports more than 150 organizations using its platform and a team of 30+ people, including nine cryptographers. It has expanded from the Netherlands into Germany and the DACH region, and its 2025 funding was intended to support commercial growth across Europe, including the UK.
The company has raised a €4M seed round in 2023 from Matterwave Ventures, NP-Hard Ventures and Spacewalk VC, and a €5M Series A in September 2025 led by G+D Ventures with Swiss Post Ventures, Mozilla Ventures and NGS Capital.
