SE3 Labs is a Munich-based deep-tech startup founded in 2023 by researchers from the Technical University of Munich's Chair for Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. The company builds foundational spatial AI technology that enables autonomous systems — including drones, ground vehicles, and robotic swarms — to perceive, reason, and act independently in complex physical environments, with full operational capability in GPS-denied and contested environments.

The core platform processes sensor data in real time to generate continuously updated 3D maps of operational environments. It fuses computer vision, visual-inertial odometry, and large language models to deliver a shared Common Operational Picture across multiple platforms, enabling a single operator to command heterogeneous fleets of unmanned systems through natural language with sub-meter target localisation precision.

SE3 Labs serves the German Bundeswehr with active defence contracts and has entered strategic partnerships with major defence primes including HENSOLDT, integrating its spatial and agentic AI into HENSOLDT's MDOcore multi-domain operations platform. The company has demonstrated its technology in live exercises observed by the German Chancellor and the Defence Minister, and participated in events hosted by the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub and the Bundeswehr Innovation Centre in Erding.

The company emerged from stealth in June 2026 with a €5.5 million Seed round led by Lakestar, positioning itself as Europe's leading AI partner for autonomous systems. Its dual-use platform also targets smart infrastructure, construction monitoring, and industrial inspection markets alongside its primary defence focus.
