About
SemiQon is a Finnish deep-tech company and VTT spin-out building silicon-based quantum hardware to power the scale-up of quantum computing. The company's core innovation is its first-in-the-world cryo-optimized CMOS transistor technology, which enables quantum processors and control electronics to operate at near-absolute-zero temperatures with ultra-low power consumption — addressing the key challenges of scalability, cost, and sustainability facing today's quantum computers.
The company's product portfolio includes SemiQit (silicon quantum dot devices for quantum research), SemiQon Cryo-CMOS (the world's first transistors fully optimized for cryogenic conditions), and forthcoming silicon-based Quantum IC Chips (QPUs). SemiQon's technology is built on decades of semiconductor industry know-how, making it commercially competitive and suited for mass manufacturing on standard 300mm CMOS lines.
Beyond quantum computing, SemiQon's cryo-CMOS technology has applications in space and high-performance computing, and the company is exploring these domains with support from the European Space Agency. SemiQon is headquartered at the Micronova Center for Applied Micro and Nanotechnology in Espoo, Finland, and shipped its first commercial customer orders in Q1 2026. The company is targeting €10M ARR by 2028 and has secured over €24M in total blended financing from private investors and public programs.
