About

Sine Engineering is a Lviv, Ukraine-based defense-tech company founded in 2022 that develops and manufactures resilient communication, navigation, and coordination systems for unmanned aerial vehicles operating in GPS-denied and spectrum-contested environments. Its core products include jamming-resilient data links (with Smart FHSS and Jamming Detect and Avoid), satellite-free navigation systems, digital video links, and swarm/mass-control platforms — all designed to integrate seamlessly with existing autopilots and scale affordably for mass drone production.

The company started as a counter-UAS team and evolved into a deep-tech supplier after identifying that connectivity and GPS reliability were the most critical and vulnerable aspects of drone operations in electronic warfare environments. Its flagship Pasika platform enables coordinated multi-drone operations in heavily contested electromagnetic environments. Sine's modules are now used by more than 200 UAV manufacturers in Ukraine and internationally, including interceptor producers, and its technology powers a large share of active front-line drone operations.

Sine Engineering has grown from five volunteers to more than 200 employees, with offices in Ukraine and a European presence in Finland (recruiting in Tampere). It won the NATO Innovation Range competition in December 2025 in the communications category. In March 2026, it became the first company selected for investment by the US–Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund (URIF), jointly backed by Ukraine's Economy Ministry and the US Development Finance Corporation (DFC), beating over 200 applicants. The company has also received investment from the Defence Builder Fund, an early-stage Ukrainian defense-tech VC.
