About
Skycore Semiconductors is a Copenhagen-based fabless semiconductor company developing power integrated circuits for high-efficiency power conversion in AI servers, data centers, battery energy storage systems and other high-power applications. Its patented switched-capacitor power converter ICs, developed from research at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), replace multiple expensive components with a single chip and a few ceramic capacitors.
The company targets next-generation 800 VDC and 800V HVDC data center architectures. Its approach combines power electronics and semiconductor design, covering high-voltage custom ICs, topologies, magnetics, capacitors, packaging and PCB design. The company reports a silicon-validated platform, six patent families, and co-development work with partners including Cadence.
Skycore is a Startup Member of the Open Compute Project and an industry member of the Berkeley Power & Energy Center. It was featured as a reference design by Würth Elektronik for its 300 W 48 V dc-dc evaluation kit, and was recognized by Sifted as one of its 13 semiconductor startups to watch for 2024. The company is preparing its first commercial products, and it raised a €5M seed round in November 2025 to scale its team, manufacturing and patent portfolio. Employee counts reported across sources range from about 6 to 20.
