About
Skyeton is a Ukrainian manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems headquartered in Kyiv. It was founded in 2006 as a light aircraft builder, produced the two-seat SWIFT K-10 aircraft, and pivoted to fixed-wing unmanned aircraft around 2014. Its flagship product is the Raybird, a long-endurance tactical UAS designated ACS-3 by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with a stated flight endurance of up to 24 hours, a maximum range of 2,500 km, a data link range of 200+ km and a maximum take-off weight of 23 kg. Raybird passed Ukrainian state testing in 2018 under a Ministry of Defence contract and has been in service with Ukrainian forces since then, with more than 350,000 combat flight hours reported. Raybird is offered with multi-payload sensors including optical, SAR, passive radar, IR and radiation sensors, and has been upgraded with a laser illumination system for guiding munitions, an anti-interceptor feature, satellite communications and a hydrogen fuel-cell hybrid variant.
After 2022 the company shifted much of its focus to defence customers. It has supplied reconnaissance systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with reported orders for more than 75 systems between February 2022 and May 2024. Skyeton opened a production plant in Slovakia in 2024, which was reported to have a capacity of 25 systems per year, and it has since formed partnerships with European companies including Helsing, Harmattan AI, Prevail Partners, INTEC and ONBERG, and a Polish distributor, Allies. In 2025 it formed a UK joint venture with Prevail Partners, and in 2026 a German subsidiary signed a letter of intent with INTEC to bring Raybird to the German armed forces. Skyeton has a US subsidiary, Skyeton Inc., which was awarded a $10.64 million fixed-price US Army contract in September 2026 for Raybird hardware and services, and it has announced a first US flagship manufacturing facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina, expected to create 162 jobs.
The company reports more than 500 staff, including more than 100 R&D engineers. Its product line has been extended to the Stormbird, unveiled in October 2026 as a tactical strike platform built on the Raybird architecture. Skyeton also offers services including deep reconnaissance, targeting and precision fire control, radio frequency intelligence, border control, maritime and pipeline surveillance and wildfire prevention, as well as training and rental.
