About

Spaceline Labs is a Danish aerospace company based in Odense that develops stratospheric platforms and Earth observation systems. The company was founded by Nicolai Iversen, Simon Vilms Pedersen and Mads Toudal Frandsen, and uses balloon-borne sensors and cameras flown between roughly 18 and 50 kilometres altitude as an alternative to conventional satellites for persistent, high-resolution monitoring.

Its core system, Panthera, delivers 10 cm/px imagery in near real time and includes a dedicated European downlink so that data can be stored, analysed and distributed within Europe. Panthera was launched from Andøya in northern Norway in August 2025, and the company has since begun delivering data to customers, where it is integrated with satellite imagery and AI-based change detection and object identification. Target sectors include infrastructure, environmental monitoring, agriculture, insurance and government, with the company also expanding into defence.

Spaceline has grown from around 15 staff in late 2025 and plans to reach about 100 employees by the end of 2026. It won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award for Funen in the ScaleUp category in 2025, and announced a new headquarters of roughly 1,000 square metres in the HCA Airport business park in Odense. Its first external funding was a pre-seed round in February 2025 with PreSeed Ventures and EIFO. The company also works with the Danish Technological Institute and the University of Southern Denmark on stratospheric balloon capacity, and uses the Gefion AI supercomputer for weather forecasting to guide its platforms.
