Starflight Dynamics is a Munich-based space company founded in 2023 that designs systems operating close to other objects in orbit, with the aim of seeing, inspecting and protecting assets in space. Its product areas include a dual-mode, water-based propulsion system that combines fast manoeuvres with long endurance, payloads that are built for its own platforms and can be integrated on others, high-endurance platforms designed for scaled production, and simulation tools for mission planning and rehearsal. The company also develops high-throughput bulk crystal growth systems for microgravity production of semiconductor and quantum substrates.

The company has two sites: its headquarters in Munich, which handles propulsion, payloads and platforms as well as German institutional programmes, and a subsidiary in Vilnius, Lithuania (Starflight Dynamics UAB), which focuses on concept development, mission preparation, guidance and navigation, and partnerships across Northern and Eastern Europe. It develops its systems with end users from the start and positions its work around European defence and technological sovereignty in space.

In July 2025 the company was awarded a research contract by the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) for the ReaGAn programme, which develops reactive, green orbital propulsion technologies, and it passed the first technical milestone of that programme in November 2025. The company closed a pre-seed round of nearly €2 million in July 2025, led by the Lithuanian state-backed fund Coinvest Capital, with participation from business angels including members of the Space & Defence Committee of the European Business Angel Network. In January 2026 it was selected as one of three projects for the second cohort of ESA's Advanced Materials and In-Orbit Manufacturing Accelerator, and in 2025 it joined the Startup Lithuania Accelerator. Its CEO Philipp Bauer is listed as a programme contact for the company's ongoing contract work.
