About
Stronghold AI is a Paris-based defence and deep-tech company that builds AI-enabled sensing systems to detect drones and other fast-evolving threats across vehicles, forward positions, bases and critical infrastructure. Its products run on a reusable platform that combines multimodal sensing (sound, vision and RF), edge AI inference that works without cloud dependency, and distributed networking into sensing meshes.
The company's first public product families are AURA and LUMINA. AURA AR-1 is a last-layer close-range detection system for vehicles, UGVs and fixed sites, with a 50 to 250 m detection envelope and detection of RF-silent threats such as fibre-linked FPVs; it is deployed with operational units in Ukraine in a phased rollout. LUMINA LM-1 provides distributed RF sensing from 0.1 to 11.9 GHz and interception of hostile analogue FPV video; it has been field-tested in Ukraine and demonstrated to European armed forces. AUGUR (longer-range sensing) and a networked sensing-intelligence coordination layer are listed as coming soon.
Stronghold AI positions its technology as dual-use, serving defence customers first and then government and industrial operators such as transport hubs, energy assets, ports, data centres and airports. Partnerships include a June 2026 memorandum of cooperation with Ukraine's Rovertech on robotic ground-system survivability, a Télécom Paris PhD on active metasurfaces funded through the French Defence Innovation Agency, and exhibitions at Eurosatory 2026 and Opération CIEDS 2026.
