About

Swarmer is a defense technology company that develops vendor-agnostic AI-powered software enabling a single operator to intuitively control hundreds of autonomous unmanned platforms in real time. Founded in May 2023 by Serhii Kupriienko and Alex Fink in Kyiv, Ukraine, the company operates at the intelligence layer—building autonomous swarm coordination, multi-domain integration, and AI-driven decision-making software rather than manufacturing hardware. Its flagship products include STYX (AI Command & Control System), MINAS (multi-drone Autonomy and Collaboration AI), and TRIDENT (embedded drone operating system).

Swarmer's software entered combat in April 2024 and has since completed more than 100,000 real-world missions with nearly 50 Ukrainian military units operating in GPS-denied and electronically contested environments. This battlefield deployment generates continuous streams of telemetry and operational feedback used to refine machine-learning models and replicate expert pilot performance at scale. The platform supports mission types including autonomous approach-and-strike, seek-and-hit, killbox operations, and counter-UAV swarming, and is expanding beyond aerial systems to fixed-wing, copters, ground vehicles, and sea vessels.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, with operations in Ukraine, Poland, and Estonia, Swarmer went public on the Nasdaq Capital Market (ticker: SWMR) in March 2026, raising approximately $17.3 million in IPO proceeds. The company has contracted $16.3 million in signed deals and announced a definitive agreement in September 2026 to acquire Ukrainian UGV manufacturer Ratel Robotics for up to $224 million, which would bring combined headcount to nearly 500 employees. Erik Prince serves as non-executive chairman of the board.
