About
TESVOLT AG is a German manufacturer and systems integrator of lithium-ion battery storage systems for commercial, industrial, municipal utility and agricultural customers. Founded in 2014 by Daniel Hannemann and Simon Schandert, the company is headquartered in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Saxony-Anhalt, where its battery storage systems and digital products are developed and produced. Its systems work with low and high voltage and can be connected to solar, wind, water, biogas and combined heat and power generators, both on-grid and off-grid.
The product portfolio includes battery cabinets such as TAYTAN and FORTON, the POWERCORE G2 system (introduced in 2026 as a 500 kWh system based on hardware from a Chinese manufacturer, with proprietary software), and the large-scale TALLON container, which the company presented in a 5 MWh cyber-secure version in January 2026. Digital offerings include the TESVOLT Energy Manager, IoT gateway, energy controllers, a monitoring portal and an energy trading portal. In February 2025 the company announced TESVOLT Energy, a subsidiary focused on energy trading with storage systems of 100 kWh and above. TESVOLT Projects offers full-service planning and implementation of battery parks. In 2026 the company announced a 190 MWh battery park project in Apollensdorf, Wittenberg, described as its largest project to date.
TESVOLT reports more than 6,000 storage projects completed worldwide since 2014 and has supplied systems for applications including self-consumption optimisation, peak shaving, energy trading, backup power and off-grid operation. Its cells have been supplied under agreements with Samsung SDI, announced in June 2025. The company reported 50% revenue growth in fiscal 2025 and in February 2026 converted convertible bonds totalling EUR 18.6 million into equity. In July 2026 Simon Schandert became CEO and Carsten Tegeler CFO.
