About

Ubotica is a company that turns Earth observation into intelligence for maritime security. Its Live Maritime Intelligence (LMI) platform predicts where risk is rising across a maritime domain, tasks satellites and other sensors to investigate, confirms what is present, and delivers decision-ready evidence to maritime teams. LMI draws on taskable optical, SAR, RF and hyperspectral satellite constellations alongside AIS and third-party data, and is designed to accept airborne, surface, seabed and coastal radar sensors. Its stated customers include navies and operators of critical infrastructure such as subsea cables, pipelines, offshore energy assets and sea lanes.

The company's Orbital AI technology runs AI across ground systems that plan collection and models running onboard satellites. Ubotica states that it has deployed more than 30 Earth observation AI models in orbit with the European Space Agency, performed more than 350,000 in-orbit inferences across 12 missions, and achieved a 100% mission success rate. With NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, it built a spacecraft that detects a target, judges its significance and retasks itself for a closer look without waiting for ground control.

Ubotica has offices in Dublin, Ireland, Ciudad Real, Spain, and Delft, the Netherlands. Its leadership team includes Sean Mitchell (Chairman & CCO), Fintan Buckley, Dr. Aubrey Dunne and John Bourke (co-founders), Dr. David Moloney (Chief Scientist), Brian Quinn (Chief Strategy Officer), John Doody (VP Products) and Barry Nolan (CMO).
