About

Verda is a Helsinki-based full-stack AI cloud company, formerly known as DataCrunch, founded in 2020 by Ruben Bryon, who launched a self-serve GPU cloud from his garage. The company builds and operates its own data centres and hardware and offers GPU instances, instant GPU clusters with InfiniBand interconnect, CPU instances, serverless containers, block and shared storage, a container registry and confidential computing for hardware-attested inference and fine-tuning. Its facilities in Finland and Iceland run on renewable energy, and it is an NVIDIA Preferred Partner. Verda holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701 certifications and is GDPR compliant.

Verda runs an in-house AI Lab that works on frontier research, open-source projects and customer co-engineering. Projects include multi-GPU inference for the 1X World Model video model, confidential AI inference for ExpressVPN's ExpressAI service, and fully managed GPU infrastructure for Magnific. The company has sponsored SGLang, gave vLLM early access to a GB300 cluster, and hosted the training of Aleph Alpha's open-weight Kolibri LLM on its NVIDIA Blackwell clusters. Verda plans to deploy NVIDIA VR200 NVL72 systems in Europe, the United States and Asia in the second half of 2026, has announced an AI data centre in Sundsvall, Sweden, and has detailed a data centre project in Pyhäjoki, Finland. It also holds a Bronze rating in SemiAnalysis's ClusterMAX ranking. Customers named across sources include 1X, Freepik, ExpressVPN, Nokia and Aleph Alpha.

Verda reported a $100M revenue run rate in June 2026 and a $165M annualised run rate in July 2026, and it is cash-flow positive. In September 2026 it closed a $189M Series B led by Emergence Capital, which valued the company at over $1 billion and brought total funding to more than $450M. Mikko Einiö joined as CFO in 2026. The company has offices in Helsinki, London and San Francisco, employs over 200 people, and targets more than 250MW of operational capacity by 2027.
