About
VoltR is a French industrial company that remanufactures lithium-ion batteries. It collects end-of-life batteries, uses AI-assisted diagnostics (SOH) to grade each cell's remaining performance, and rebuilds new batteries from cells that still hold enough capacity. Its offers cover custom or catalogue battery manufacturing, state-of-health diagnostics, collection of used batteries, and industrial repair and remanufacturing for micromobility batteries.
The company's main applications are light mobility (e-bikes, e-scooters), electronics (power tools, home automation, lighting, speakers) and energy storage (stationary storage, power banks, mobile energy stations). Its customers and partners include Leroy Merlin (power-tool batteries compatible with Ryobi, Bosch and Makita, launched November 2025), Lime (micromobility cell reconditioning, October 2024), Valeo (joint remanufactured battery offer for small electric mobility, October 2025), Decathlon, Solamaz, ParaNocta, Famoco and Accimoto.
VoltR says it has placed more than 20,000 remanufactured batteries on the market and that its batteries can cut carbon footprint by up to 86%. In October 2026 it raised €22M (€16M equity from the SPI 2 Fund managed by Bpifrance and Decathlon PULSE, plus €6M in Première Usine grants) to double its Verrières-en-Anjou plant, increase production capacity sixfold within two years and add about 40 jobs.
